How did you get that name?: K-OTIC came from when I 1st started out as a rapper. Back then I use to freestyle & cypher a lot. One day I was flowing & we was all freestyling & somebody said that my flow was chaotic… Thats when I ran with that name.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?: I have 3 big accomplishments:

1st Accomplishment: was the 1st song I ‘officially’ produced titled ‘Throw It Up’ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lrUmBl3RVM) That song got so much love from the indie market through a lot of fans, djs, fellow local artist throughout Florida and it even got radio play in Miami.

2nd Accomplishment: was the success in producing ‘We Grind’N’ for L.E.S.G.O. Entertainment’s Da Bomb(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rUJ_IkboDc). This Song was not only played on the radio in several markets: NY/NJ, Miami, Tampa & Dallas, but was also played in the club throughout the country. The biggest accomplishment in regards to this record was the fact that the video even aired on Telemundo!

3rd Accomplishment: A big interview for me with Miami’s big website www.305hiphop.com (http://305hiphop.com/miami-music-news/k-otic-rapper-producer-miami-gets-ready-release-i-use-want-her) This website has always showed me love whenever I put out music but I never had my own interview on there before. A lot of people enjoyed that interview.

What has been your most difficult challenge?: Management!!! If I had the right management in which somebody who could assist me in getting my production out there I would be able to focus a lot more on the creativity in my production.

What makes you different?: My humbleness and my understanding. I started out rapping since 98. I understand what artist look for in a producer and thats how I understand how to tailor specific tracks for specific songs & artist. In regards to being humble, Im not afraid to show love when somebody shows love, Im always willing to learn & put in work for the success of any project I’m on or affiliated with.

What projects are you working on?: Working on a project w/ Yawdstyle Ent’s Big O, working with a talented lyricist in Johnny Black. Also producing for Atlanta’s 20 Mile Entertainmen’t artist Twinty Mile & Layced Out Entertainment’s Layce along with L.E.S.G.O. Entertainment’s PapiShank

Where are you from originally? : My parents are Panamanian. I was born in Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY but raised in Miami, Fl since I was 5.

How Long have you been making music? : I’ve been making beats since 2003 but officially started producing since 2005.

What artists inspire you? : Music & Life! Thats it! Nothing ever sounds good when its rushed or fabricated. I feel like if you’ve been through it, then you can express it and it will be felt, not just heard. I just don’t go in the studio and make a beat. Something during the day influences what type of beat I made.

How would you define your style of music? : A blend of Dirty South, Electro Pop & Caribbean. You’ll notice a lot of my beats have Congas & Bongos & shakers maracas in them, im really into Percussion & this is from my Panamanian decent. You’ll also notice that I use a lot of electronic synths & sounds w/ Southern drum patterns and basslines…

What has been your most difficult challenge? My challenges start when I wake up!! Pushing the ASEAN brand in as many markets as I can is a constant challenge, but it’s fun at the same time.

What projects are you working on?  I’m working on a feature film with my production partner Shane Harper. We’re still in the pre-production phase now, but when the time is right we’ll unleash it to the world! I’m constantly developing ASEAN TV into a media force.

Where are you from originally?

How Long have you been making music?  I’ve been in the entertainment business for over 20 yrs. I started producing when I was 18. I owned EMBRASE Records from ’93-’96 then switched to engineering & producing for other artist in Chicago,L.A. Michigan,Indiana. I’ve watched this game evolve numerous times!

What artists inspire you?  New artist inspire me because it let’s me know creativity (good or bad) is alive

How would you define your style of music?  My film style is on edge meaning you’ll never know what to expect when a new episode comes on

Where do you see the future of music? independent artist will take over the music game. Small labels are making more money from the independent route than most major labels

How did you get that name?: My name is Joe Grasso, and I make hip hop beats. It took a lot of brain power, but I managed to come up with the name Grasso Beats.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?: My biggest  accomplishment has been having my music played over the store speakers of Hollis Famous Burgers, the Run DMC tribute restaurant in Queens, NY.
Also, my extensive work with Philly artist Truth has been great for me.

What has been your most difficult challenge?: My most difficult challenge has been distributing my music while located in PA. There aren’t many opportunities there, so I had to make my online presence as visible as possible.

What makes you different?: My drive to succeed, along with my business knowledge make me different. I feel that my music stands alone and tells a story, even before words are incorporated. I let my music speak my mind for me.

What projects are you working on?: I’m always wroking on new beats and collaborations. My big project right now is releasing a mixtape from my artist S. West. It’s an entirely Grasso-produced mixtape. It’ll be available for free download on my youtube channel and website as soon as it’s finished. The first single will be out this month.

Where are you from originally? : I’m originally from Long Island, New York. I then lived in Pennsylvania for 12 years, and now I attend Five Towns College in Long Island.

How Long have you been making music? : I’ve been producing for 3 years now.

What artists inspire you? : Good music inspires me. The more I listen, the more I want to create.

How would you define your style of music? : My style of music imitates my personal style. I try to let my instrumentals describe my moods. I have a mix of Dirty South and East coast beats, and I’d say I can mix well with either.

What teams are you affiliated with? : I am not affiliate with any teams. I handle all business myself for now.

Who are some artists that you have worked with? : I’ve worked extensively with Truth and S. West from Philadelphia, as well as underground artist Ethos and R&B singer Gemayel.

Who would you like to collab with? : My dream is to collaborate with Jay-Z…it’s also every other producer’s dream…Hov, hit me up!

Where do you see the future of music? : I see the future of music coming full circle. I see less downloading as the illegal sites get shut down, and I see more success for those artists who continually tour and connect with their fan base personally.

Where do you see yourself in 1 year? : I see myself in Manhattan working with ‘the big names’.

Describe yourself in one word. : I’m the cadillac of producers!

If you ask me or anyone that knows her or her company, the answer would have to be one in the same. Diana Rosario is MuñekaWear, and MuñekaWear is Diana Rosario. It doesn’t end there, the journey to where she is right now, is a journey many independents would love to find themselves in. Get this, picture yourself having a talent you believe in, better yet, a natural talent you believe in, and actually pursuing your talent, and making it into something by any means necessary!, this is not something extraordinarily new, we’ve seen this before right?…Christopher “Biggie” Wallace, and Sean “Jay Z” Carter to keep it simple…neither of them wrote their rhymes right?, and both managed to fascinate us all with their weaving of words…once again,in that aspect,”one in the same”. Ms MuñekaWear will fascinate you with her “FREESTYLE”  way of weaving in her own unique way…Designing!

I have met with this fashion phenomenon on numerous occasions, and each time I asked my questions, I always received the same answers, this is in a 4 year span. This only proved to me the genuine person she is, and talk about ambitious!…think about this…in the 4 years I’ve known her, she started 2 company’s, she designs her own graphics, she produces her own runway fashion shows, she hand makes her own clothing line,HANDMAKES!…DID YOU SEE HER WEBSITE?!…anyway, while hand-making, and meeting deadlines, she’s also a very down to earth family oriented married woman!(sorry guys!)…I’m not going to get deeper into her personal life, but wow…when someone takes a no holds barred approach in life, through even tragedies…how can you sit around and do nothing?, how can you yourself not chase your dream, and support others in achieving theirs?,food for thought.

I’m not here to bore you with someone Else’s achievements, I just call it like I see it,  this is as real as “keepin’ it REAL gets!”…of course once again, you don’t have to take my word for it, the proof is right in your face!…you can log on to munekawear.com, you can log on to kacheassociates.com which is her other self-made company for people like us, which I am a proud member of. You may even say this may be a conflict of interest me writing about someone I work with and admire, but I’m sure if given the opportunity, you would do the exact same thing!

This Summer Diana will be producing her 3rd annual run way show, with new extravagant designs!…and fresh new faces!…she’s also launching her fresh new Muñekita collection, for ages 4-12. With hot new ideas, and ambition a freight train couldn’t stop, you are bound to see or hear something new and refreshing from this soon to be fashion icon, EVERYTIME!

Diana’s first fashion Debut was in June of 2006 at Glo ultra lounge. Her Second was at Club Destiny on April of 2007, In 2008 she took a well deserved maternity leave, and is ready for her 3rd Annual entitled “The MuñekaWear Experience”! this coming June!…This event will have massive coverage on all levels, this years sponsors are very proud and excited, this event will have more models, more style, more people than any of the other 2 previous fashion shows, which were extremely good, but when I asked Diana what would be different, she simply said ” this one is going to be extremely great!”
