When did you decide that you wanted to be a model?

I’ve always wanted to model but school was just such a big part of my life that I couldn’t really afford to take the time out to do it. However, during my junior year at USF I had a lighter class load so I tried it out and have been doing it ever since!

How did you balance going to school full time and modeling?

Well I’m a hustler so I made it work! lol… It was very hard I had to turn down a lot of work because I couldn’t miss certain classes. I may of had a test on that day or I needed to stay in town so I could study.

What did you graduate with?

I got my bachelors in Biomedical Science and minored in The Application of Medicine in Physics

How did you get your name ?

“Mia” is my first name and “Michelle” is my middle name

What are some projects you have worked on?

Ive done national music videos for artists like Lil Wayne, Plies, Akon, Snoop, David Banner, Shawna, Fat Joe, Slim Thug, The Clipse, etc…. Magazines for Blackmens, American Curves, Smooth, KING, Todays Black Woman, SSX, Urban Ink, Calendars for Big Tiggers “Flawless” and Plies, as well as two movies “Life, Love, Soul” and “Still A Teen”

Do you have any management?

No, I’m my own manager

What has been the most memorable moment thus far of your career? Going to Jamaica to shoot for Smooth Magazines “Live in Jamaica” issue and being at the resort “Hedonism” which was full of nude guests… I saw a very prominent day time judge there who has his own show …NAKED hahahhha! I won’t mention his name

Besides modeling, what else do you do?

I own MIAgency Inc.MIAgency Inc is a full service agency adding creativity and professionalism to a demanding industry. MIAgency Inc represents models, makeup artists, hair stylists, fashion stylists, and photographers. We pride ourselves in carefully matching and supplying our clients with our experienced staff to work in film, television, commercials, industrial videos, print, and promotional work. Im also back in school.

Has being an active model made it hard to have a relationship?

I don’t think its hard I just think its easier to be single. I get more done because sometimes you get too comfortable when your in a relationship.

What do you look for in a man?

I like a man who is focused and strong. He also has to have a very relaxed easy going personality…someone who is deep that I can learn from.

I have been single since 2006

What’s the worst experience that you have had while modeling?

I’ve had all good experiences! If I have to say something negative it would be the amount of time you have to sit around while on sets.

How do you weed through who’s really about business?

It’s pretty easy I’m a very good judge of character. I just let someone talk and I listen and see where their heads at.

What type of workout regimen do you follow?

I really dont follow one! I might go to the gym once every two months. I really should cancel my membership hahahaha.

What’s your diet like?

I eat whatever i want, but I hear its going to catch up to me. but I don’t believe it will because my mother is BAD in every way. She’s my size no stretch marks and still looks so young after three kids

facebook… I get to keep up with my friends from high school and college. Its kind of neat to see how much everyone has changed

Who has been the most inspiring person in your life?

My Parents. They are both successful and so smart.

I want kids, but not until I’m a little older

When did you decide you wanted to get into modeling?
Modeling to me has always been an interest at hand. However, I decided to make it one of my goals at the age of 17 when I realize that being in front of the camera made me feel happy and fulfilled in so many ways. Also, I wanted to prove to those who have a dream, that dreams
can be accomplished, but only if you have the drive and believe in yourself. As well as surrounding yourself with positive and productive people.

When did you decide you wanted to get into modeling? When i was 18 i did my first photoshoot with a friend that is a proffesional photographer and he told me i had potential to be a Model. I always like to take pictures i remember my friends always used to tell me i was very photogenic person, because i would always take new pictures with my camara and they told mei should get into modeling.

I always been a very confident outgoing person, After my first photoshoot alot of opportunities started coming to me and thats when i started taking modeling to a different lavel. I worked with different photographers to get more experience and built my portfolio.

I realized that the more experience i would have the more jobs and opportunies would come to me, but i always kept something in my mind to keep my head up always and keep the modeling career to a proffecional pase! Because Theres alot of people out there that are going to try to get you to do things that may be get out of the ‘modeling topic’

Now and day i had worked with alot of people, done alot of promotions, tv shows, music videos, clothing line model, i had done out the state jobs, traveling, car shows, comercials, and alot of other things…

What are some of your short term and long term goals? For my Modeling career my goal is to get somewhere in the future with a very known company and work with important people in the industry and get to the Acting career.

I understand theres alot of competiong out there, but if i get a chance to get somewhere in life with the Modeling i deffanily would take the chance and give it my all it and make it all do way!

When did you decide you wanted to get into modeling?

I thought about doing it for years, but went through lots of bs with talent scouts etc. Not understanding the business is what stopped me in the past. I got serious about it earlier this year when I realized I had to become my own manager/promoter.

Where are you from originally?

I was born in VA and my family is from NC, but I am a military brat so I have lived all over. I have lived a great deal of my life in Europe and the southeast part of the US, but I have always been a Florida resident.

What is your occupation?

I am a student working on my masters in mental health. I also work two part-time jobs- one as a victim advocate and the other as a registra at a local hospital in the ER.

I hate to admit it, but it’s myspace . I am on there almost everyday day if not all day when I am bored, lol!
