Eric Walker was born in Tifton, Georgia but lived all over the world since his father was in the military. His main work background has been as a corporate trainer for both independently owned establishments and well known restaurant chains of which he opened well over 23 new ones since 1992. While in Tennessee he stated his own construction business, but couldn’t stay away from the hospitality industry. Nothing else in life can compete with his two children, who he refers to as his biggest accomplishment to date. Once again, Eric is starting something new! He has recently taken over the responsibility of General Manager, helping a friend make LUX the number one nightclub in Orlando. LUX is located off of International drive and offers a different theme every night to match the variety of flavors and cultures that make up Orlando’s nightlife, while providing a nice alternative to the chaos of downtown. I was very impressed to see Eric go from overseeing the door, to the VIP area, to rolling up his sleeves and being very hands on behind the bar. It’s no surprise that he’s on the right track to opening his own venue soon. When I asked Eric to leave me with some last words for our interview, he said: “You are a commodity. Everyone has something that someone else wants. The trick is to find that with-in yourself and market it with confidence. Nobody is going to give it to you. You WANT it- you have to GO GET IT!” To contact email: eric@luxorlando

When I first moved here from NY about 6 years ago, it was very difficult for me to find a place that sold the type of clothes that I was used to buying. All of that changed when I met Shami, the owner of WIldside in the Altamonte mall. Shami has been in Orlando for 7 years and now owns three stores – 2 in the Altamonte Mall (Wildside and Trends Street) and one on the intersection of Universal blvd. and West Sand Lake road (Wildside). When it comes to hip-hop wear, you can find all the top brands including Ed Hardy, Coogi, Evisu, Red Monkey, Antique, Akademiks, Dickies, Enyce, Crocker, Caffeine, Blac Label, Nostic, Artful Dodgers, Parish, Scifen, Azzure, Sean John and more! “Whatever you can get in NY, you can get it here in 2-3 weeks,” says Shami. All three stores also sell jewelry, kicks, hats, white tees, accessories, and CD’s. Besides the fact that Shami always gives all his customers a break on the ticket price, another thing that I like is that I can buy stuff for my son since he carries Kids Coogi, Enyce, Akademiks and Dickies. All of Shami’s stores also carry lady Coogi, Luxury, Ed Hardy, and Christian Audigier. I thought I was special when Shami called me a few days after me visiting the store to let me know that the jeans I wanted had arrived in my size, but I then found out that he does this for all his customers. “From the moment you come into the store we will try to serve and help you the best way possible,” says Shami with a genuine smile. With the holidays coming, don’t go crazy trying to figure out where to shop – just go check out one of Shami’s 3 stores, you will be glad you did! Let the person ringing you up know that you heard about the store in Pure Cash Magazine and receive an extra discount! If you have any questions- here are the phone numbers to each store: Wildside (Universal & Sand Lake) 407.355.3150, Wildside (in the Altamonte mall) 407.767. 7417 and Trends 407.261.0918 or on myspace.com/wildsidefl

What’s good y’all!!!! Right now I’m pushing the single “Lick Yo Body,” feat Lady Lyric. Going out to record pools everywhere and also being distributed digitally. It’s been getting really good feedback and plays all over the world. Looking forward to that day that the local DJ’s support it (hint, hint). Also just put together a new mixtape called “The Show” hosted by DJ B LORD from South Kak. It is a compilation of a few new songs and many of my previous works hand -picked and mixed by DJ Slique. On “The Show” you can find collabo’s with Lady Lyric, Sonny Chulo, Dirt Po, T.I., Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Cassie, R.Kelly and a few others. Besides that I have been passing out a few copies of my new album Pentoxicated. I have always been very critical about my work. With the music industry changing so much I found it easier for me to just have fun with it again and made this album for me. Since I did that, I can actually play the CD from start to finish and listen to every track on it. I’ve learned that no matter how hard you try, you can’t please everyone so you might as well please yourself. I have found lots of “H” people around., but that’s no biggie – they’re always there. It’s usually the ones that used to be someone and no longer are. You know the ones that are always “about” to do something. Bottom line is we can make excuses or we can make money but we can’t make both! Lets GMGP! www.fidelcashflow.com
